We will remember dear Leslie fondly as a wonderful relation who made us feel good to be in his warm company. May his family find peace and consolation as we think of them. Love as well our deepest sympathy to his family.

Charlee goodlee Maalee, whatever on earth that meant
Henry Penry, Alice Palace and anything else that went
You rhymed, you sang, you danced and laughed through life
Had a smile that would light up the room, but a stubborn mule, when you were right you were right.
I’ll never forget the sportsman you were, or the stories that you’d tell
About how you ran, played hockey, football, cricket and everything else so well
A man of many talents, but a true master of only one
To roll as many curry balls as Granny instructed whether it be 46, 58 or 61.
You taught me how to whistle and never failed to make me laugh
You told me one girlfriend just wasn’t enough, well thanks, I got in trouble for that
You were as strong as an ox with a heart of gold and fought to the bitter end
You were the best grandpa anyone could wish for, my hero and my best friend.
The memories we’ve had together, I’ll forever cherish and guard
And how lucky am I to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard
So yes your song has ended but your melody still remains
Now rest your eyes Grandpa , be at peace, and I’ll see you again someday.
Love you forever and always.
